Cappuccino Quadrant

Its name derives from the fact that in the best known version of this sundial, the path of the pearl in both tropics traced two lines that resembled the hood worn by Capuchin monks. Its origin dates back to the 15th century, although it is not possible to say for sure.

This is a local height quadrant, one of those called"clinometers". This model is a reproduction and is calculated for a latitude of 51.5ºN.
